Default W&B FBU with new Scales

Good morning everyone, it has been a while since I posted, time has been quite limited. I have been in and out of the shop doing mainly restorations and scales. So this one is a W&B FBU that a gentleman sent me to attempt to repin using the old scales. The old scales were cracked and despite attempts to repin them using epoxy and JB weld, they would not handle this heavy blade and continued to crack. Soooo....I got permission to make some new scales. I shaped them using the original scales as the owner wanted it to be as close to original as possible. I didn't do much of anything to the Calcutta blade in terms of restoration(just some basic cleaning by hand, no machines) as he didn't want the blade restored. There is an etching that is on the blade and I cannot remember what it says, it is quite faint. Overall I really love has these scales turned out, there is some streaking in them and that usually is what sells me. I stacked the washers and also made a metal wedge that I buffed out to a mirror polish. This blade really took a great edge. As always comments and feedback it more than welcome.

Nice work. Love the streaks in the scales.

What do you mean by Calcutta blade?

It's a typo It should say " I didn't do anything to the actual blade..." Thanks for the Compliment!!
