    Default An early Wostenholm

Received as just a well worn blade. The scales are copies of originals circa 1810 in honey horn. Straight, flat and a bevel all around and thin at .110. For those that have not made an early set of straight scales the depth you sink the blade into the scales must be considered to avoid the heel protruding below the scales. The near wedge blade now wears a thin even bevel with a glazed finish. A lead wedge and brass pins and collars holds it all together.

That is another beauty my friend! Look for two from me in the mail Saturday. I'd like the Cabaza to look as nice as this Wostenholm and I know it will!

Lovely Karl! Great job on this 'Oldie'...I'm restoring the exact same blade , from the same time period, except that my blade is stamped simply 'REYNOLDS'.

Nice work Karl! You really turn them out, and all are great too! Great shape to the scales, matches the blade nicely
