Thank you. I simply like to try different things but this MOP is the toughest thing I've ever tried. I just can't believe it, it ripped off my fingers. I managed to outline one panel, 5 more to go. All I can say, this project will take a while

Outlined the second panel, the middle one will wait as I decided to insert a shield.

I am using a carbide engraving CNC router bit - cheap, fairly hard material, no need to sharpen, when it feels blunt I replace it with a new one. main disadvantage being a basic geometric shape so I have to adjust the angulation constantly whilst with a professional graver the situation changes. I am quite happy with this one for occasional work like this. I might invest into a professional pneumatic graver in a distant future but the sound of forking out a few hundreds is painful. Not a wise investment just now.

The MOP proves to be a hard material, almost like stone, unlikely to get damaged, provided the pressure is applied within reason

I have pretty much finished to outline one side and started to give it a little bit of 3D perspective. I'll have to simplify the original design a little, simply because there is no room (I miscalculated and I am short of about 5-6 mm). I gave up the idea of inlaying a shield for the same reason, so I'll go for a simple ornate silver inlay that will be soldered to the fixing pin.
