Thread: Wade & Butcher Fine India Steel in B&W Ebony

This one I had a little fun with, David told me to do whatever I wanted to with the scales.... Soooooo I used some Black n White Ebony that I had been wanting to use on something, and this 7/8 W&B Fine India steel razor that he sent me was "something"
I built the scales using almost the original pattern, but tweaked it some, I used a Gabon Ebony wedge sheathed in thin brass for some weight and just because I liked the looks.. I used stacked, domed brass washers, with brass pins for hardware... The finish is a little different too....
I used a water based Poly-Acrylic spray and left in the slight dimpling effect with 8 coats.. This stuff is about as tuff a finish as you can find....
The blade came out to an almost mirror finish....

Fine India steel is some of the smoothest shaving iron you'll ever come across!
