Not to be a downer here Max, and your scales are great but I need to completely disagree. I've used both the stuff you've got and the real stuff and the no brainer part has to do with the cheaper acrylic stuff being a case of getting what you pay for. Seriously try the real stuff man, I don't think you'd go back.

It's extremely easy to work with and I don't agree at all with Alex. I have also worked with 100% real Paua and off course there's a difference, this I agree, but I don't agree as it being or feeling cheap or flimsy at all. Yes, you pay what you get for but not everybody has $200, $300 and more to spend on a razor. Alex and I target a different audience, period. His work imo is the best I've seen but comes with a much higher price tag because he uses more expensive materials. It's also more artsy as where I target the more simplistic yet functional audience.

I really didn't mean any disrespect Max- I'm just stating that I really don't think it's a no brainer or should be advertised as one. Obviously people make their own choices as to how much they want to pay to put into a razor and should know the differences in materials to make that educated decision.

Either way, this is a beautiful razor indeed. Both the blade and scales complement each other perfectly. Well done Max

I'd really like to get a razor with narwhale tusk/horn scales, becasue of rarity, but can't afford it. I think this looks frickin' awesome, but wonder if it is available bonded with other colors of top plastic? you know, if somebody didn't want such a bright turquoise color. hell, I'd be afraid my wife would like it so much she'd take it!!!!!! :-)

Yeah, they do make other tints- it's easiest to find out what you can get directly by calling the suppliers. Max could hook you up I'm sure.
