    Default Ern - C. Friedr. Ern - Wald B - Solingen - Part II

Here's the second razor leaving for Japan to Seth.

This razor came in it's original condition which had staining, patina, ...

Maybe Seth took some before pics but I got so carried away that I forgot to take them myself.

It turned out extremely clean and shiny and I was able to remove all staining and blemishes. For the scales I used Faux Ivory.

Pictures don't do this one even justice. Because the blade has a beveled spine it has been one of the worst and most difficult razor to photograph. Reflections everywhere. A real nightmare. lol

Basically I still need to hone these babies and prepare them for a long journey.

    Total cutting edge: 2.75 inches

It's very nice. I like the way the scales expose the stamps & look forward to achieving that level of capability with the peening!

very cool.. for some reason this one reminds me of a set of dominoes or dice or something like that (I guess it helps that you put dice in your pictures)... very nice

By the way max, what kind of lighting setup are you using for your photos?

Very nice work Max. The scale design really compliments the razor. Clean and slick.

Nice work! I like the shape of the scales with the cut away.

That was wise to use the darker background of the bowl to show off the razor.
