Default The Highly Popular 'KOH-I-NOOR' diamond edge ~ Paua

The 'KOH-I-NOOR' used to be the world's largest diamond at one point weighting in at 105 carat. There's a really long and interesting history behind the stone worth reading.
'KOH-I-NOOR' means 'Mountain of light' and resides at present time at the 'Tower of London' aka 'Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress'.

The razor itself resides at my place and will be shipped out to its new owner in West Virginia.

The customer decided on the 'KOH-I-NOOR' blade amongst several others. Paua was his second request.

The blade got a complete tune up and I had some work getting it back to life but it was worth every penny. Just some remaining residual stains and pits but not really noticeable. The Paua scales need no introduction. Those are just drop dead gorgeous and must really be seen in real life.

Wow, another beauty! Just curious, where do you get that type of scale material? TO me it look similar to mother-of-pearl.

As Val kilmer may have said said in 'Tombstone'. "Now ain't that a daisy !"

Purrty razor Max. 'Mountain of light' indeed.
Always blows me away how you photograph reflective surfaces too.

Paua is an abalone material very much like MOP, search for ablam or something like that for the premade paua acrylic laminate stuff

    I guess there's no hiding...

I'll be getting some new shell materials pretty soon so that'll be a blast...
