Thread: Dubl Duck Special N°1 ~ Original Resurrection II

For some odd reason the DD's always end up with me.

This one was no different then some I have resurrected. It had a tapered blade, staining, pitting, patina and horrible hone wear. The DD's special N°1 do come in spike or round point.

Removed the blade from the original butter scotch scales and gave it my surgery procedure. Straightened the edge and was able to nearly remove all hone wear. Blade shines like a chrome bumper and is blemish free.

The original scales were sanded down with 220 dry and 400/600 wet sandpaper. Trip to the buffing wheels and those scales look new again.

Honed this puppy up and like all DD's, super nice.

Hot damn, that's a thing of beauty! I've got a dubl duck special no.1 that needs some work and once I get some time and money... I know where I'm sending it. It needs new scales, too, as it's got Wonderedge scales at the moment.
