Hi. My name is ursus and I'm a abaloneholic (at least soon if you continue to post pictures like this ) Also the very thin pivot point of the scales is fabulous. Awesome work, mate.

    Cool

    (boring)

Yes yes, another Maximillian Masterpiece, another gem another jewel another modern day treasure to behold (blah blah blah), surely he gets bored with these exquisite creations of his, churning them out of his cauldron as easy as others would make baloney sandwiches. He IS the 'creme de la creme' the 'cat's meow' the 'Chief Potentate' the 'sage of the age' when it comes to restoration and custom rescaling work he IS 'Der Weltmeister'. He hovers on his higher celestial plain than we mere mortals, omnipotently commanding the elements of the world of straight razors, he is 'The One' he is the 'Best of the Best',

    and that is why ...

    HE MUST BE DESTROYED!

(just kiddin' M, you know I luv yuh man, awesome drool inducing workmanship as always)

Is that specially treated abalone shell, or some other product. We used to be able to take abalone here in Southern California, and I have a few nice shells. I still find a few emptys. If I could make my razor look like that....... Heres the last shell I found. Its not suited for scales, but it might make an interesting piece of jewelry.

    Dear Max,

I have been looking at your razors and they are so beautiful! I want to learn the craft of restoring razors and scales. I am particularly interested to learn the techniques for removing the scratches and pits from a blade, as well as the equipment needed to do this, as well as how to rescale or repair scales. Anything you can tell me would be welcome.
