Is that specially treated abalone shell, or some other product. We used to be able to take abalone here in Southern California, and I have a few nice shells. I still find a few emptys. If I could make my razor look like that....... Heres the last shell I found. Its not suited for scales, but it might make an interesting piece of jewelry.

I have been looking at your razors and they are so beautiful! I want to learn the craft of restoring razors and scales. I am particularly interested to learn the techniques for removing the scratches and pits from a blade, as well as the equipment needed to do this, as well as how to rescale or repair scales. Anything you can tell me would be welcome.
