    Thumbs up Friodur - J.A. Henckels - 17 1/2 - G10 Green/Black & Pistachio

This has got to be one of the prettiest Henckels I have seen so far. It's got a real heft to it with a 1/2 hollow grind. A solid piece of steel.

The Twin logo and Friodur inlay came from the original cream colored celluloid scales which I first removed with some acetone.

I let them soak a short while, cleaned them both up really well, made sure they were completely dry before applying them back to the new scales made from G10 Green/Black & Pistachio which was requested.

I was asked to keep a classic look and design for the scales but with a little edge to it. I ended up using SS and NS washers and pins. As to the tapered wedge, G10 Black/Gray.

The blade got polished and buffed on the buffer with mostly white and green rouge.

    Enjoy.

It does look different. Pics don't even do it justice.

I used waterproof, 5 min, epoxy. Works great.

    Awesome job Max!

Love the way you kept the inlay in the new scales

    1/2 hollow stainless?!

Man, oh man, How I'd love to get my hands on one of those!

    Looks great Max!

Glenn, I have also used CA to glue inlays on my scales too. FYI.
