Thumbs up Manufactured By Wade & Butcher - A classic 8/8

Here's another one of those classic 8/8 big Wade & Butcher wedges.

    Beautiful hefty chunk of steel.

This one was completely restored and got the full treatment. Greaseless and rouges. Turned out stellar. Tang inscription is still fully present.

I decided to keep it as close to original so I took the original scales but made them a bit wider since the originals are somewhat on the narrow side. Black paper micarta, tapered bloody basin jasper recon stone and brass and nickels silver hardware. Balances out just perfect thanks to the paper micarta's initial weight. The main advantge of the paper micarta is the super smooth texture, beautiful shine and easy maintenance.

They take an incredible sweet shaving edge too.

Enjoy and have a great WK.

    Total weight: 3.7oz
    Total cutting edge: 2.8"
    Scale material; Black paper micarta
Wedge: Bloody basin jasper recon stone
    Hardware: Brass/Nickel silver

Those scales are so perfect that i may have to steal them for a 7/8 swayback W&B!

Looks fantastic. I think it's great that you kept the original scales. Your work is sometimes beyond belief..
