Dubl Duck ~ Goldedge - G10 Hunter Orange
No intro needed for the Dubl Duck Goldedge.
This was an idea and project I had in my mind for a while now and I finally was able to complete my vision. I did spend some time on this project as it was a very meticulous job to make everything perfectly fit but it was worth every minute.
Blade was completely cleaned and polished to a high mirror shine. It turned out stellar and looks as good as new. Originally it had some gold patching left on the tang but not enough to warrant keeping it. Finished everything with green rouge on my trusted buffer.
The scales are an exact duplicate of the originals. I transferred the brass bolsters and inlays from the old broken scales and they are a perfect fit. Scales are G10 Hunter orange. I used mostly brass pins and washers and silver nickel/brass for the third pin. The original plastic wedge was replaced by an exact duplicate in dark acrylic.
This one will start its voyage to Bangkok after the Holidays.
Enjoy.

Ever thought of rhodium plating the bolsters? Gold on orange doesn't quite work for me - silver would put the perfect touch on that razor, I think. Stellar work as always, Max. Thank you for sharing.

Very nice razor, but the caption is wrong (you marked it as a Pearlduck
).
