WORKSHOP:CUSTOMS:SOTD
Filarmonica 14 Doble Temple ~ Bocote
Here's an older Filarmonica 14 which was in bad shape and needed to be completely stripped as to the owners approval. It's a shaver and not a looker is his motto.
Went through the complete greaseless grits and buffing compounds. Turned out stellar
As to the scales, well you can figure that one out yourself. Bocote, with a tapered ebony wedge, third pin and adjustable screw at the pīvot.
Many many layers of 100% tung oil, burnished.
The main difference with this older 14 DT compared to the one I have (which is also the older one) is that the hollow part is even a tad finer but it shaved me as smooth and sharp as all the other DT's.
It also doesn't have the Doble Temple writing on the tang and the made in Spain on the back.
Man, I love those Fillis.
Off to Alaska it goes.(probably the Santa is keeping this one for himself).
Enjoy
