Whirl update. The razor is a great piece of work. It is like a zippy sports car. The handling is great, and it was fun. On the strops, it almost turns itself at the end of a stroke. I was stunned by how easy it was to strop due to my experience with a traditional Japanese razor.

I had a great time with that razor. However, I don't think I'll be buying one any time soon. Mostly because of other acquisitions... but, that's neither here nor there

It's honestly a little smaller and heavier than I thought it be, and that's not in a bad way either. The balance was nice and the tang was very easy to grip. There was nothing especially awkward about it that I could find. The matching hardwood stand was a nice touch in keeping with the simplicity theme.
I checked out the one in the store also. It is very well balanced and beautiful to look at.

I almost want to cry. That's a beautiful razor. Unfortunately, I'll never be able to afford one.

I'm not complaining about your pricing. It's more than fair. I just can't afford it. Maybe if I sell a kidney...

That's a beautiful piece. Makes me think of a scalpel. Maybe once I know what I'm doing with straights...

Default How does this thing shave?

All I have read is how beautiful it is (which it is by the way) but how does this thing shave? Can anyone chime in? I was thinking of getting a W&B wedge but this is much cooler.

I have one and love the shave it gives me. it is no different to a "normal" straight in that way. It is completely different in the way you handle it though. I like that it is shorter and easier to handle in difficult areas. Overall , I like it very much when i feel like a change of pace.
