    Default My New Fixed Straights

I just finished up my second razor. They are both shaving well; smooth and super sharp. I am especially liking the little one. It's very light and nimble and the grind is really thin (as least for my skill at grinding). Now on to the photos.

The blade length on the wooden one is 2 1/4". This was my first time working with a tapered tang. In the future, I'll probably taper it even more.

Those are killer looking razors! I'm a huge fan.

Is that burl wood or a birdseye in the stand? The ends look like walnut or almost snakewood. Did you use a varnish finish? I'm an amateur woodworker so I appreciate the metal and wood work.
