Arrow 9/8 Extreme Smile Custom #1 of 2

This was done for a guy and based on those Japanese razors with the extreme smiles. Instead of being around 6/8 or so like the Japanese razors are, this one is 9/8 at the widest. A real monster of a razor and probably the hardest razor I've had to make because of the shape (I was nervous grinding the hollow the whole time!). The second will be the same razor basically but in Damascus with Silver Twill (Texalium) scales to contrast the Carbon Fiber scales of the O1 blade.

Alex, you do amazing work! I'd never want a blade shaped like that for myself, but I'd love to use one (I just couldn't strop that every time, and honing it would be a PITA)

    Gorgeous razor

It probably isn't as tough as you think Jeremy... look at the actual shaving edge and the point on the spine where a hone/razor would contact. If you take those points and make a blade shape (while trying to ignore the rest) you'd get a profile not all that different from many of the older sheffields with smiles.

Maybe it would be a bit more to get the rolling on the spine while stropping, but I doubt it would actually be that much of a difference.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe that I forgot to say that this is awesome work... Way to go Alex.
