    Arrow Wade & Butcher 7/8 regrind - Yellow G10

Manufactured by Wade & Butcher, Sheffield 7/8 that really turned out stellar with a beautiful end polish. Just a few barely noticeable remaining shallow surface pits. Grind is wedge with that subtle smiling edge and spine. Barbers notch. Scales are G10 Yellow with a tapered G10 Yellow/Black wedge. 3 pin design. Hardware is a mix of silver nickel and brass.

PS. My close up lens is broken and needs to go in for repairs at Nikon so the close up of the wedge is a crop so it looks blotchy and stained which it's not.

The blade looks pretty good from here. The scales and wedge are done to perfection and I'm beginning to understand how much work and know how go into achieving a flawless finished product. Well done

Mad Max, I love it, but I have always liked Yellow scales

Am I reading that correctly that you re-ground the blade???

Indeed. It had a fair amount of hone wear which also resulted in edge wear, the usual pitting and dark staining. The only viable option was to hollow out the sides on the grinder as to remove both the hone and edge wear and tackle the impurities at the same time.

Lovely work. Being the beneficiary myself of your regrind skill, I know the owner is in for one heck of a nice shave!

    Great job!
