Cool Wade & Butcher 8/8 Hollow in Horn

This is a complete Custom Restore going home to Dale...

She came up here to the North Woods actually not in too bad a shape, just some sitting around age, no bad pitting or funky wear,, The old horn scales were shot through...

    Here are some before pics

The blade was polished out to a near perfect mirror on the buffers and by hand.
The scales were built with some Streaked Horn from Masecraft, sanded to 12000 grit Micromesh then polished out by hand... I used a .008 Silver Tin lined Faux Ivory wedge...
The pins are Nickel Silver and the double stacked washers are the new size of #0 SS over the old size #0 SS that gives a nice tight bullseye look if you stack them correctly.....
The honing is done on a 1/3/8 Naniwa then finished on a Select Grade Coticule which is my goto system for these older Sheffielders... I think I might have a nice night time shave with this one later

Nice work! I don't like the thought of that hammer near the coticule though!

    Suh-weet!

Pretty much my favourite razors in the whole world are old sheffields in horn, they just look stunning.

    Great job G-man!

I really like the way the curve of the scale matches the curve of the spine of the razor. We don't all get that as well as you did on this one. Outstanding!
