Cool Yankee Cutlery "Lion Brand" Magnetized Damascus in Figural Scales

Wow they added everything into this razor when they made it
    The name just keeps going

    YANKEE CUTLERY CO "Lion Brand"
Trademark of Reichard until 1933, then of American Safety Razor
    ca. 1903 - 1953

The grind caught my eye I have seen this only a couple of times on razors I would love to know if there is an actual name for this type of grind.. It looks as though someone used a 5/8 hollow grind stone set on a 6/8 razor leaving about 1/8 inch of the edge a bit heavier. Last one I saw like this was a Geneva also 6/8 and before that a few Sheffielders done like this...(You can really see it in the last pic)
I was sent this set of Figural Horse Head scales about a year ago, they had a bit of warp in them but I took that out using a wedged piece of wood some clamps and some gentle heat
I had noticed that even in the books the Lion Brand razors have some elaborate scales so I went for it on this razor...
BTW for you steel freaks out there, the steel does have some very faint wavy lines in it if you look at the bottom of the tang, they are also barely visible along the spine...So perhaps there is somthing to this "Damascus" stamping we see, I have noted this on a few of them but you really have to look for it...

Woa, unique grind for sure! The scales isn't exactly my style, but it looks quite awesome anyway...
    How did it shave?

The shave this morning was quite good... I used a Thuringen for a finisher playing it safe, and it paid off...
Honestly though, I think the steel will hold onto a Shapton 30k edge so when it needs a re-hone I will take it there and see
