Default Redo, what a difference a year makes

My first successful (was able to shave with) restore was in July of 2010 (You can read about it here). I still have a lot to learn, yet I wanted to apply some of the things I've learned over the last year to this set as the original restore wasn't all that spectacular in hindsight. The staining left on the blades is due to wanting to keep the etching.

The scales are Ivory G10, nickel silver pins, stacked washers, brass over stainless, and black G10 wedge. I did the inlay transfer, filled in with Red Enamel paint, and then applied gold leaf to the etching and spine. I know not everyone likes Gold wash, but in this case, I felt it appropriate. Some of the pics are a bit blurred...sorry about that.

    After prior restoration:

    Thanks for looking, Glenn.
