Default First rescale - Marshes and Shepherd

Here's a Marshes and Shepherd Pondsworks VR. I'd been wanting to try my hand at making new scales for a while and finally got around to it, with some honey colored buffalo horn and a cow bone wedge. It's 8/8+ near the tip and dwarfs my henckels. Can't wait to finally shave with it once I get the hones out.

That is one sweet setup. I am brand new to straights, but am already getting a severe case of RAD. Would love to someday down the road be able to refurbish old razors that nice.

I'm glad someone is like me, in that you appreciate a blade that shows it's age a little. haha One of my favorite shavers is a Logan-Gregg that's got some serious patina all over it.

Well done on the scales! I always look forward to when my M&S comes up in rotation. It gives a nice shave. Hope you find the same for yours.

Just got it honed up and shaved. Wow, really smooth shaver, I'm addicted to wedges now. @kamikazeproject, I love the old patinas too. I don't really like the total mirror polish on old blades - they don't look old anymore then.

Not only that but they have a tendency to blind me while shaving if they catch the lights over the mirror just right.
