Default Been busy - A new 7-day box

I must have too much spare time. I wanted a 7-day case, so I went down to the workshop. It still needs a lid, but so far I have finished everything else. The sides are tiger maple from a board I found in the backyard of my rented house, the legs are rosewood and the inserts are maple, cherry and canarywood from the scraps box. My first try at mortise and tenon on everything so it's not perfect, but it'll do. I'll try to post some pictures if I ever get a chance to make the lid.

    Great work, looks really nice.

I think a clear lid would look nice.

its a lovely case. I like the contrast in the woods and the dividers.

Well done, now get back in the shop and make a lid for it

Joe...That's what I'm talkin' about!! I like the idea of having a side compartment. Are you going to have this option available on your site?

That's a great looking box. I too like the contrast between the two woods. Well done!

That's really nice looking! It's very modern looking, and excellent choice of materials! Us framers don't get many (any) opportunities to do this type of stuff. I'm jealous!

That does look nice. I second the idea of a window frame lid with clear glass.

Great work indeed! What's that razor by the Wade on the two last pictures? It's well hidden but yet seems like it's a terrific piece of history!
