Default Crown & Sword dressed in red for Christmas

This "little" girl dropped of in my mailbox last week, and in the spirirt of X-mas, what would suit her better than a pretty new red dress?

She's a 7/8 ERN Crown & Sword, scales are made of red G10 with bone wedge and brass pins and washers.

    Since I still don't have a buffer I hand sanded as usual, going from 320 - 600 - 800 - 1200 - 2000 wet/dry, and polished with Autosol/Dremel.

Got a new belt sander for my birthday, so I decided to try to replicate the original scales as good as possible.

First a pic of my new sander:

And as usual I forgot to take a before shot, but here's the pic from eBay:

    And after:

Nice work. The blade and scales both look great.
Cool sander too, excellent for this kind of work, congrats.

I've had a few Crown & Sword razor and currently have one. They are great shavers. I recently restored on for my uncle, even made a set of scales special for it in black acrylic with clear acrylic wedge. (see pics)

Zephyr, you did a great job, nice job on the pins.

P.S.-- Pop-N-Fresh, that's a fine looking razor you have too!

Zephyr, nice restore. I like the colour you chose for the scales, very nice job on the blade too. Well done.
