Thread: WWII themed brush and scales

I have a buddy whose grandfather was a baker for the regular German infantry during WWII and he is a fan of all things from that era. For a late Christmas present I made him some scales in field grey with some decals from a WWII German tank model and his hockey number on them. I spray painted the wood scales then applied the decals and sealed it all with a CA finish and lots of Renaissance wax.


The blade is a Carbo Magnetic Griffin made in Germany (prior to WWII I guess)

The shaving brush is modeled after a German hand grenade from WWII.
The knot is silvertip badger from Whippeddog.com

Sometime I'll make an US Army set to go with this one.


The Nazi Zombie movie is just for fun

Great job on the razor and brush combo. Also nothing wrong with a good Nazi zombie flick.

It's just pine that I turned on my lathe. I taped off the top and bottom and spray painted them field grey. I used a "gunstock" colored stain on the handle part then put several coats of protectant on the whole thing.
