Cool Vintage "Custom Built" Heirloom C. Jackson - Rebuilt

This one was a little different, I have had several razors cross the bench that have vintage "Custom" scales but most all of them have been un-workable... This one from Lance was an exception!!!

Here is a before pic, the scales were made from some type of horn which I had to break down and recondition, sand, and buff back to what I think was the original luster.

That is a very nice save Glen

The white tips on the scales make me think of a fox

It looks like you almost got rid of the hone wear. That's a sweet looking razor.

    Glen,
Thanks for bringing an old family razor back to beautiful condition, I am really glad you were able to get the scales off and restore them. I am really looking forward to being able to shave with this Razor.

It just looks that way These old Wedges will go right back, unless you Re-grind them or hone with tape or both With that amout of heavy buffing it does make it better but we can't add steel back YET

    Glen,
Did you have to use much tape to hone it?

Awesome, as you know I love these old Wedge razors...the scales are a great save as well. The owner should be proud!
