    Default Just some pics

Off the bench on Saturday, shave tested Sunday. Good times.

Cocobolo, bone wedge, brass hardware. Renwax finish. This was also an edge reprofile, as it had a frown that was crazy deep. Figured the easiest way would be to try and grind out the frown on the bench grinder, and then re establish a bevel before the restore.

It seemed to work, and honed up without needing any tricks. I liked working on this one, more than normal. It was quite fun.

Nice, classic lines. Excellent wood graining selected. Scales not too thick and you rounded the edges. Proper pin placement and uniform peens. Very Nice Work!

I've never been a big fan of cocobolo myself, but after seeing those scales Maxi you may have just convinced me to give it a second look. Very nice work on those

Very elegant workmanship! Nice and thin scales with the grain shown to advantage. Cocobolo has the advantage of not needing a coating to protect it from moisture. It does darken over time without one, though.

    Sweetness

I hate to admit it Nathan, but I agree that there is a certain extra satisfaction to the restore when you have to re-contour/re-grind the entire edge...Makes ya walk away from the shave test with a bit more of a swagger to the stride

Thanks Sharptonn. Most of the time I take off a bit more on the edges, but this little blade I thought would look good with less of a belly on the heel, allowing me to keep a bit of "boxiness" in the corners and get a bit of the weight needed to balance it out.
