Not arguing Tc, but the Cold Steel is above and beyond. It's done things I wouldn't even try with my KaBar.
The site mentions they stab 55 gallon drums x amount of times to test strength. Heck I cut on in half with it and it still held an edge well enough to dress a hog and cut through the sternum when I was prepping it.

    I'm sold!!!!

Just sharing the info here Brother

I carry more of a get home bag. If I get there and decide not to defend in place things will change.

Nothing that is fancy and not disposable. For example I have a Mora knife that is good but cheap and if someone decides to break into my truck and steal it I would be mad but not heartbroken.

I like reading lists of what people think is necessary to try to carry.

My favorite is a guy that had 3 knifes but then listed a pencil sharpener!

Mora knives are nice for their intended purpose. I like the one I have with a mag rod in the handle for starting fires. Just a good idea to me

That might make me question the quality of his knives.

Always carry a flagon of whiskey in case of snakebite and furthermore, always carry a small snake. W.C. Fields

Here's my walking camping get where I need to be bag.

Currently holding waterproof clothing, a change of clothes. Solid fuel stove, one of the pockets has a small survival kit in it, that will fit in a cargo pocket. And theres some food in there, and also a couple water bottles that attach to strapping. Oh and theres a smallish tarp in there.

I have slung the tent on for now.

There's a couple of folding knives in there and one fixed blade knife. That doesn't go walking though.

Im considering swapping this out for MOLLE covered bag I have to add some more modularity. And maybe I should throw in some whisky [emoji23]

A knife on the shoulder strap right where it needs to be! Thanks Geek!

    Here is mine.

A little to tactical looking and my knife isn't usually showing its handle.

But it is what it is.............

I don't have one. I feel like I should, and this thread has not helped the "guilt" for that. On the other hand, I live 25 miles from my family's farm so if I ever needed to bug out it would be to there.

I used to have a stock of emergency supplies when I lived farther away, but don't really feel much need for it now that I am closer to family.
