Springfield Armory is still making the M1A in 7.62 (M14 clone).

I have one of these as well, the XD45 is a great gun.
    My 1911 is a Auto-Ordnance plain-jane that I put in 1911 (not A1) configuration.

I shoot mostly cast-bullet reloads. Lots cheaper than buying ammo for it, once you have all the equipment paid for.

I'd rather have an FAL, I think.
I can't afford either one, though.

Here is a great software straight from Microsoft for resizing pictures.
    Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP

You can also upload your pictures to Flickr if you have an account there and then point to them in your thread.

On the right side of the page the program is called image resizer.
After installing go to your pictures and right click and you have a choice of small, medium or large.
It will add your choice of size to your folder without messing with your original image.

Hadn't considered it but I'm sure it'd work. Heck, you could get a surplus canvas sling for a couple bucks and use that in place of linen. You'd have to be a little more careful--I think they're an inch and a quarter wide.

Plus a good sling (like a Turner Saddlery or Les Tam) runs about $45.

    Default Frustrated Gun Owners

If you are frustrated by ridiculous gun laws, Please vehemently complain to your legislators. Jimmyhad tells us he has difiiculty with ammunition at his local facility. This is sad and is readily traceable to your legislators.
Stop voting for incumbents. This philosophy readily eliminates the term limit argument. Do it!!! Get your friends and neighbors involved. Do it!!!!!
