Thank you for joining our little corner of SRP. I am glad to hear you are enjoying your smoking sessions. Pipe smoking (like straight shaving) does take some time to learn.

    Welcome onboard!

If you really haven't been smoker before and still want to try, then pipes are much more better choice than cigarettes.
Like shaving with straight, it takes some time to get used to it, but do yourself a favor and never switch to cigarettes. As you said, pipe smoking can be very relaxing.
If you want to stick with pipes, then as a new smoker you probably should smoke on some special occasions first and maybe start with mild aromatics before trying blends with lot of vitamine N.

I haven't tried Butternut Burley, but there are countless amount of different blends to try. It takes little time to find the ones of your choice.
Mine are Erinmore and some blends from Samuel Gavith and Peterson, but only because they are the only brands that i can find from the local tobacco store.

And as with straight razors, there are gentlemen help to help you if there's anything you want to know about pipes. At least JimmyHAD and eTom beat us all 6-0 with the experience and huge number of nice pipes they have

Alex I really like that Kriswell. I bought one of those in the early 70's and they are good pipes. That stacked bowl and stem shape is very pleasing to the eye and looks comfortable to hold. Thanks for posting that one!

    manah,

Fine pipes, indeed. But, I am fascinated by the table lighter! What can you tell us about it? Could we please see more views?

    Thanks,
