This evening I'm smoking Cornell and Diehl Old Joe Krantz in an Edwards Burl Cut. No camera to shoot the pretty stuff but I do happen to have a picture of the pipe.

IMHO, Old Joe Krantz is the best damn pipe tobacco available today. this is a good modern version of the classic American burlies of old (i.e. Prince Albert, Five Brothers, Revelation, etc.) It's spicy, cigary and just a couple inches shy of harsh in delivery but man alive what a smoke! I've seen none better in 34 years of pipe smoking.

I quite like www.smokingpipes.com for shopping and www.pipedia.org for information.

For a fantastic pipe forum, it's tough to beat this one, it's where I live:

    PipeChat - Index

While I'm here, might as well post my pipes for today.

Morning Smoke: Old Joe Krantz in a butt ugly (but wonderfully smoking) fat rhodesian

Lunchtime Smoke: Competition Blend in a 7742 Kaywoodie (pre-1938)

Drive Home Smoke: Old Joe Krantz in same fat rhodesian

Evening Poolside Smoke: SG 1792 Flake in a four digit Kaywoodie Prince
