Have you been sitting in your new baby, door closed and enjoying the "new Jeep smell"? I know you have! NOTHING in the World like getting a new vehicle!! Such an awesome feeling! I've only had one new vehicle, a 1979 4X4 GMC Stepside when I was in High School, the rest have been used.
On the subject of language. As a very small child my Grandmother lived with us. She was from the island of Pico in the Azores and spoke very little English. At the time I had no problem understanding Portuguese. But, I have forgotten most all of it. I wish I would have learned. Most all the relatives share a common trait. All born here were to speak English, not Portuguese. The parents, from the islands, wanted them to speak English they learned in school at home, so they could learn from them. The language of America was English, so that's what they wanted to speak. I guess it's not too late for me to learn, I have the sound making ability from when I was little, just need to learn the words again.Silence is Golden, but duct tape is Silver.

New member here. Just started with a Dovo Shavette while awaiting my sight unseen Whipped Dog special. In the meantime, I found this thread. I'm not a huge pipe aficionado but I will smoke occasionally. My uncle makes pipes in the UP of Michigan.
Here is a trailer of a movie a buddy of mine is working on...thought it might be fitting....
