Thread: Interesting group of people

I am new here, maybe 30 days. I find it very interesting that many of you share the same interests I have besides Wet shaving. Guns, cast iron pans, cigars, fine whiskey.
Anyone ever ponder why this might be?

Perhaps its because men (and women) who choose to learn to use a straight razor have similar personality characteristics. We might be like Robin Williams's students in the movie Dead Poets Society who took to heart their teacher's advice to "suck the marrow out of life."

Life is short and I "suck the marrow" for all it's worth.

If you read any of the "Why Do You Shave With a Straight Razor" threads you'll get insight on the matter. Nostalgia and/or a desire to be closer to a more civilized time seems to top the list.

I posted a thread months ago wondering the same thing! It is striking, the similarities between such a seemingly random sample of people.

wait, you mean that you guys like the same thing i do, damn, now i am gonna have to find something new to get into. these things are becomeing to passe. maybe Ill have to stop drinking and shave with a new quattro, and go out and buy some barbasol. that will set a new trend.
