Red Bull sounds interesting... I'll be on the hunt for several others...

Red Bull is a Poschl product and certainly not a snuff to offer to a first timer. It's a strong snuff mated with eucalyptus oil and menthol. If you like Poschl's other menthol offerings I think you'd like this one.

I'm up for the challenge... I can use a good cleaning out on occasion

Another member here is new to nasal snuff so I sent him a few grams of some that I had on hand... So far, W.E. Garrett & Sons is the "mind" blower for me...

I told him to only take a "little" bump to begin with, I explained that it was like sticking a .12ga in your nose and pulling the trigger, at least for me...

I think one of the biggest things is in how hard of a draw a person takes. The goal is not to get the snuff to the sinuses, but up into the nasal cavity. It's more of a moderate whiff, as if smelling a fragrance rather than an all out snort. Just enough to get it to ascend into the nostrils and no farther. You'll still get drainage in the back of the throat, which is why I like to pair it with an ale that can wash it down in a complimentary way.

I have a can of Garrett in the mix. That was the first snuff I tried as a youth and of course at that time, I didn't realize I wasn't going for a full blown inhalation on the draw. What a wake-up that was.

I think that all of us in our younger days could have used a few pointers (about life)...

I guess that's why they say we (might) get smarter with age...

By no means am I an expert... Lot's of reading for me...

Steph here is the jest of it; Snuff (tobacco) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Snuff is a smokeless tobacco made from ground or pulverized tobacco leaves.[1] It is insufflated (inhaled) or "snuffed" into the nasal cavity (into each nostril), delivering a swift 'hit' of nicotine and a lasting flavored scent (especially if flavoring has been blended with the tobacco)."

For me it's just one more way to enjoy a different style of tobacco... However, I don't use nasal snuff all the time, maybe a few times a year, or when I get a wild hair...

I don't snuff very often as my overactive sinuses don't seem to like the foreign intrusion, but liked the few I tried. Just took advantage of the Mr Snuff black friday sale to put in a small order with some schmalzler in the mix.
