Thread: Seiko makes SRP watches!

Yea, I'm a bit behind the times, but I just found out there is a SRP line of Seikos. Not Straight Razor Place, but I still think it's really cool. I actually quite like the SRP043

But I promised myself I would not get another watch. My Day/Night Ops is happily living on my wrist

Yeah the day/night ops is a serious tool watch, maybe a little big for my 7" wrists but it's worth it for the tritium. Deep blue has the best trintum tubes I have seen.

I think my wrists are under 7, but this one doesn't feel too big to me at all. Next time I'm down for a meet, you're welcome to try her on. I've gotta agree on the lume, though. I actually have the T100, and it is BRIGHT. That is a part of the reason I went for the DayNight over a JSAR. (TSAR was too small for me.)

Thanks for the offer, I can see were my post was unclear, I actually own a day/night ops and while I like it I fine it doesn't get worn as much as it should because of it's heft and size the deep blue 1k pro seems to get worm more when I want a bracelet. That said with the T-100 tritium I can honestly read the time in the middle of the night when it is in the watch winder 6 feet from my bed, which is neat.

Oh, I did miss that you have one. Do you find that the Zulu style band that came with it stretches when wet? That is the main reason I don't wear that one, the rubber kind of annoys me because of the cammo on the inside, and the outer clasp on the bracelet opens on its own sometimes...

Yeah I recently got into watches when I took a short break from buying every straight razor I saw, as of now I own: the obligatory Sieko orange monster, Glycine half-hunter (yellow), MKII seafighter, deep blue 1k pro and the previously mentioned day/night, Vostok Europe: caspian seamonster, Arktika, gaz-14, a 24 hour airnautic PVD 1 of 30, and a suunto core. Only two of these were purchased new and those were gifts my rule is not to spend more then a third of the cost of a new watch on a used one so most aren't in flawless condition. To answer your question I havent had any problems with the Zulu stretching but I put that band on my MKII seafighter which is about a third of the weight so I don't have any idea of how it would react on the day/night, I couldn't agree more about the black/camo strap I took one look before putting it back in the case and haven't touched it since, my day night stays on it's bracelet, when I want a big dive watch on a strap I reach for my caspian seamonster which I prefer to the day/night for it's oddity. What I really want is a Bali hai but the price on them is far more then I want to pay, but if your into dive watches with a little spunk they originally come up for resale (original run was only 100). Wow I guess I miss being on watchuseek everyday seems like I wanna talk watch

I could never get into the chatter on watchuseek, but I do like talking watches now and then. You have built up quite a collection. Every now and then, I want to buy another, but I just can't justify it to myself. I have three that I never wear (one was a gift back in college - I'm not into the style anymore; one that I recently bought but just don't like that much anymore; one I bought to take to the gym but my gym buddy broke his arm and I don't mind rowing with an automatic; and the D/N), so how could I possibly buy another.

But if I did have the spare money, I'd love to have a winder full of choices...
