    Default Four Roses Single Barrel

So my brother has been talking about bourbon a lot lately. Not a big drinker, I'd kinda ignored him. But last week I decided to go try one of the bottles he's been raving about. So I picked up a Bottle of Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon. Holy moly that was enjoyable. Anyway, what kind of Bourbons do you guys drink? Definitely going to have to explore this Kentucky Bourbon thing some more...

Woodford reserve, Maker's Mark, Four Roses (100 proof) and Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve 15Y) in no particular order. Those are my main and only 4 Bourbons I buy and love.

you know maker's mark is getting sued my the Bourbon association of some sort, because when they age it, they don't use american wood for the poles in the barrel.

+1 to Makers Mark, Jim Beam also remains a favorite but seems kind of harsh by comparison.

I am a bourbon drinker but not a connoisseur. I have tried only a few bourbons and so far I prefer Elijah Craig the most. I buy the 12 year old or the 18 year old. It's great stuff and well worth a try for anyone looking to get into bourbon.

A friend of mine gifted me a bottle of Maker's 46 which I am planning on trying right after I finish my current bottle of Elijah Craig 12. Should be interesting.

I've tried the vaunted Booker's Bourbon and didn't like it. It tasted like Jim Beam mixed with grain alcohol. I prefer my bourbon's smooth and well aged.

It's a wonderful ride trying different stuff out, good luck!

    Best Regards,
    EL

Maker's Mark 46, the new Bulleit Rye, Old Grandad 114 (not single barrel but sublime), Jefferson Reserve, Bernheim's Wheat Whiskey, and Knob Creek 120.
