Thread: Yet another addition to the family.

Ever since I had to put Sara down, my last Great Dane, I've been wanting a new dog for my family.
Today, we finally found the right one for us.
He is a bit smaller than what I'm used to, but I'm sure that is only physically

We are picking him up tomorrow, a 10 week old Jack Russell terrier.
His name will be Oscar, and here is a shot of him. He must have been woke up just for this shot, so excuse him for not looking all alert at this particular time

First of all I'm sorry to hear about Sara, thats never easy. Secondly LOL a bit smaller that your used to... And thirdly may I say excellent choice... Congrats I know he will bring much joy and a little frustration (they all do)...

I love all dogs more then I like most people! Awesome B!!!!! I have "puppy fever" so bad since I put down my lab 1 1/2 tears ago but I may be deploying soon so it's on hold...

I also want a dog. I put J.S.Bach down some time ago, and am looking forward to having another best friend, and naming it after a fine composer. You're new dog is a handsome one Birnando.

Our Jack is 12 years old. Keep in mind that if you don't keep them interested and intrigued they can turn into a terror of your house. I suggest things that rattle and squeak. Our's loved those Kong toys with a few cheerios inside and the end plugged with peanut butter, when it was just him it would entertain him for hours. Oh and every jack I've ever seen loved pressed raw hides and pigs ears. Good luck.

I'm really sorry to hear about Sara. As stated above and based on what I heard from Jack Russell Terrorist owners, what Oscar lacks in size he will make up for in energy and spunk.
