First is my 1998 GSXR 750 from a track day. - Sold this to a friend a while back. LOVED this bike. She took everything you gave her and just laughed.
Second pic is my Ducati 916 - 1998' still have. I know it says 996 on it but I bought a full carbon fiber body set that was fully sticked as you see and there was a clearcoat applied so i couldent remove or change anything.

I love Ducatis, when I get the dough I'm going to get one myself one of these days. Although I'll probably have to settle for a Yamaha.
When I was living in Scotland I worked at a little B&B where we'd get lots of bikers. Mostly German but we'd get a few Italians as well. After serving breakfast I'd sneak out and look at their bikes. BMW and Ducati bikes are things of beauty.

Ducs, its always the Ducs. Razors, bikes, 'just can't get away from them.
'Hope your get one that makes you happy, Chester. I'm getting to where the best bike is the one I'm on at the moment. Once there's no icon to chase, it gets quite affordable. 'Hope you get to enjoy some riding.

Damn hedgehog
Here's my Bandit. Probably not the fastest or coolest bike there is, but it's been a loyal mule on my daily rides and also for me and my wife as we've traveled on Scandinavia and mainland Europe. I bought it 6 years ago after my old Katana went into zillion pieces in an accident. I've had bikes since i was 15 but this is the first i've had no desire to change into something better.
I also have Lambretta LD 125 '53 (actually only my wife rides it) and old '69 Finnish scooter (ugly thing it is, even my kids are too shamed to ride it).
This pic was taken this summer. Somewhere in Estonia or Latvia.
