Default Early Salmon fishing in Michigan

This is throwing hardware, which isn't usually my style, but I tried this last year (that's not me in the vid) and had a blast. Planning on doing it again next month.

Sort of like bass fishing for 20 to 25 lb fish. You can do it with a flyrod, sinking line and streamers but it's very difficult in this water.

I've been doing it wrong all these years

I miss doing that.. my father and I use to fish all the time and my wife hates the super market salmon around here because it is definitely not fresh ( if you can smell it walking by then just keep on walking) Maybe I will have to try and get up north sometime next month to go fishing.

The Kings are a blast to catch. The water in the video is almost stagnant, but try that same fish in a swift current of 2000 cfs, and reeling 'em in is a different challenge entirely!

heck, the Bears don't seem to have any problems "reeling them in".
