    Default Shower Beer

Evening PT was a fairly brisk 3 miler. Fat old man pace seems to be quickening. Maybe I've advanced to portly old man pace, or slightly pudgy old man pace. At any rate, I'm pulling off runs fairly easily that six months ago would have been completely impossible. I followed up this great run with a couple Amberbocks in a hot shower. Very nice, very relaxing. Perhaps a quick smoke on the lanai then I'm off to bed

I love a good shower beer after playing lacrosse - there is just something about the contrast between a hot shower and a cold beer that works. Could also be the contrast of working your sack off then being totally at rest.

Either way its not an everyday for me but it is probably a slice of the good life. If I could only smoke a cigar in the shower...

Any excuse for a beer, eh? lol

I'm not really one to have a beer in the shower, but a cold beer & a hot shave - now that's another story!

I have beers in the shower. You're not alone. They make bottle holders for us.

Glass bottles in the shower make me kind of nervous, I drank a bottle of water then recharged the bottle with a couple Amberbocks. I can drop a plastic bottle in the shower and not bleed, you know what I mean?

In college, living in the fraternity house, the shower beer(s) was often part of the pre-party routine. Usually the cheaper or lighter beers got the job done there. After rugby games though, I stepped up my tastes if I went for a shower beer, and nothing beat an ice cold Fat Tire, especially on a warm day.

Shower shots happened occasionally also, but those times are harder to remember for some reason...

Man, I haven't had a shower beer in ages. That sounds like a great idea soon. You know a nice Irish Whiskey in the shower wouldn't be bad either.

I usually throw caution to the wind and bring the whole growler into the shower.

Evening PT was two and a half miles in 30 minutes. The bad news is that 15 years ago I could have sleep walked faster. The good news is that 15 months ago I doubt I could have sustained that pace for 3 minutes, let alone 30. Twelve minute miles without a catastrophic cardiac failure, I'll call it a victory and role in on a shower beer or two. Cheers fellas!
