Thread: Master of The Electric Violin

The violin/fiddle has always been my instrument of choice and I have owned my Electric Violin for over 20 years, but I can only wish I could bring out the awesome capabilities of instrument the way that this guy can. He has a lot of songs on Youtube if you simply google his name.

The way Ed makes use of stomp boxes and loops to build a complete piece including rhythm and lead combining strumming and bowing technique, and the ease at which he pulls all this off live is amazing. Although Emily shows some real talent, I don't think she demonstrates potential of the instrument itself. Most of what I hear her play sounds like it could be played with an acoustic violin.

Even Michael Shulman who plays the NY subways demonstrates more potential of the instrument than Emily.
