We told them we would pay them 1 dollar per grade level for each A on their report card. So in 1st grade they got $1 per A, in 12th grade they got $12 per A. Yes I have two straight A students and come report card time I am going to owe my 10th grader $70 and my 12th grader $48 (she only has 4 HS classes this year She takes college classes the last half of the day).
A lot of my friends made fun of me for paying my kids that much. But my oldest is valedictorian of her class and is headed to MIT in the fall. My youngest is also a straight A student and is headed to Missou for vet school in a couple years. The return on my investment has been extreme.
Enjoy that baby, make sure you hug it a lot even when it gets older and is embarrassed by it.
Great looking kid BTW
