I just found it and wanted to share. I am not into making my own shavers.

Just realised that there's a guy in Holland selling that stuff. Nice to know where he gets his materials.

Edit: I sent away for a pricelist. Maybe in the future I'll do a knife or even a razor out of this stuff.

Just got a reply. They won't send me a pricelist because the NL already has a distributor.

And he's REALLY expensive.

Guess I won't be buying any of their stuff then.

looks like damasteel to me
if you dont want/need stainless Damascus there re many places to get good patterent welded steels
you jsut havet o make sure that they dont have pure nickle in ther mix as it will not get hads

mixes liek 1080-95 and 15n20 or O1and L6 are good razor mixes

I have an EDC blade, carried for ten years that was made of this steel. For stainless stuff, and one of the first of the sintered powder metal materials to be engineered both for nice patterns and cutlery quality steels, it's pretty good.

I know prices are always subject to debate, but knowing most of the good makers in the US, for this material the price is really pretty fair considering what you get for the money and the fact that shipping from Sweden and customs are buried in there somewhere.

I'm still firmly in the carbon steel camp but see reasonable things on the other side. Call me an independent voter.

If any of you guys consider purchasing a Damasteel product, pay attention to the design. This steel is actually pretty good from what I have seen, but you do not want any vertical pattern near the blades edge. For a razor, you will end up with something like a serrated knife. The horizontal patterns near the edge take and hold an edge very well.
