    Default double wheel grinder

Here is a short video of my double wheel grinder. I do not use it much any more as a matter of fact I may take it apart and build two single wheel grinders. A lot of people ask me about this grinder so I though I would make the video.

Very interesting thanks for the video. Why do you prefer a single wheel over a setup like this?

I am more comfortable with a single wheel because I can grind where I want to, the double wheel does everything the same. I have a lot more control of the grind when I use a single wheel.

I suppose if you were a factory, you'd want everything to turn out the same every time. I'm fascinated by tool evolution as well as the evolution of the operators. I know a lot of makers who started out using a jig or tool rest and most always wind up doing things by hand eventually. Thanks for the video Charlie.

I can see how handy this would be for "hogging out" a rough or if you ever considered "volume" blades. You hogged out a rough hollow in just a few minutes...

Once again, thanks for sharing your expertise with us Charlie.
