Yesterday I found the vinyl package my DublDuck Satinedge came in. The best part is the cost. Now this was 1974 dollars but it is still reasonable. $15.95

It seems that a lot of us really like the sense of history that comes with our straight razors. The more we can know about a Str8, the more complete the packaging, the better we like it.

    Enjoy!

As a newbie, I'm not too bothered about the history - I didn't realise before I started but a straight razor can be a beautiful thing. Espsecially after seeing a couple of Billys efforts. I know I will have to invest in a truly beautiful razor soon.

The thing I like most about about str8s is that each one, even the brand new one, are still made by hand. Yes, they use machine to stamp out the blanks rather then forge them, but the final steps involve a craftsmens two hands. In a world ware most things are mass produced using robotic machinery and unskilled labor, the straight razor still requires a masters years of experience.
