Default My razors are hereby officially quarantined

I made the mistake of showing some of my razors to a fellow knife enthusiast at the office. Super guy, but he proceeded to drag his thumb across my blades at 90 degrees and even tried to cut paper with one before I stopped him just in time. Ah!

Won’t make that mistake again. My razors are staying home, forever quarantined to the shave den.

Ouch. At least he didn't do the Ginsu maneuver and try to cut a nail. My razors are personal to me - sorry, you'll just have to trust that they are sharp.

If he had cut himself; you both could have brushed up on your first-aid skills.

Just thank God he didn't drop it on the floor and chip it; that would have been a real tragedy!!

Been there, done that. Live and learn is my motto but sometimes the learning hurts.

Even worse is have a guest enthusiast use your razor and strop in your shave den when showing off!

I've never understood the fascination some people have with scraping a sharp piece of metal across their thumb. I've seen it with pocket knives, razors and kitchen knives. They don't understand that basically the only outcomes from this type of action is either ruining the edge or ruining their thumb.
