I voted Mid/North for the same reasons as Tink - it would just be a bit easier for me to get to. But depending on when it would be and where abouts - Scotland would be cool too.

Well Squid and I have voted for Scotland!

If the Ness weekend is before June I won't be able to do a lot, but being away for a weekend in good company will more than make up for that.

After June would mean more stuff to lug around, but also I could participate in more of the outdoor stuff.

Maybe we could do a few fund raisers between now and then, possibly hire a van or coach for the weekend so people without their own transport or without the means to fly can be picked up??

Regardless of where this ends up being we love the idea of making a weekend of it.

Invited to join the British Empire lately - but sadly couldn't attempt the first meeting - I am proud to give my vote to Scotland ("I vant to go to Edimburra!" *smash on the head* sorry for that folks)

I'll try to join anywhere, but if there is an airport and an easyjet plane nearby it will make travelling more easy...

Well living in Newcastle upon Tyne but family came from Carnoustie I voted for Scotland, but I’m used to driving distances as a courier so will go any where, still say we should keep it to the same weekend so we all know when it will be and we can work towards that weekend each year and book the time off work if needed well in advance.
We could always change the location each year next one in Scotland year after in Wales’s year after up north then down south then back to the middle and start again or pick somewhere in the middle in-between John o Groats and Landsend which I believe to be Alston or Haltwhistle both in Northumberland about 30 miles from me beside Hadrian’s wall, but I don’t think it would be fair to expect me to drive all that distance every year

Yep - it sounds like a good fair way of working - spread it around.

If it's the Highlands of Scotland, then it will be a real treat.

If it's just some other also ran city then we really ought to find the most convenient location for all.

Hey the Birmingham location was convenient for most. Maybe Liverpool or Manchester would have been a fairer balance given the Tartan brigade of shavers.

Mind you variation is the spice of life.

You pick it, I'll be there.

Highlands definitely! Extreme Shaving is a very young pursuit & needs to be encouraged as much as possible

If I may make a suggestion. Might it not make the shindig even more accessible, if it was one week earlier next year. We would be out of the school holidays, but still in the university ones. I hope to be going to uni next year so... Also, those who could not attend because of family birthdays & anniversaries could come.

That would make it my birthday and you'd all have to buy me presents.

Just had a thought - we could do an extreme shaving photo shoot and overnight doss at the shelter stone at the end of Loch Avon over the back of Cairngorm. Supposed to be the most remote place on mainland Britian. Now that would be newsworthy! I have slept under the stone a couple of times - it's fine - just need a mat and sleeping bag. A good days walk in from cairngorms car park. If anybody fancies a small sortie to get our mugs on the cover of Trail magazine - I can guide in and out.

Walking sounds too much like exercise for me. And clearly exercise is something I dont need, me being in the peak of physical fitness.....

Seriously though, i've always been a fan of things like indoors, central heating, not being rained on. Plus... extreme shaving? I've always appreciated the luxury involved in shaving. Shaving outdoors... I remain to be convinced about the luxury involved in that.
