Thread: Phoenix, Arizona area meeting?

Howdy.
I think that there are a few members in the greater phoenix area, and I'm curious if there's any interest in a meeting.
I can't really offer a place, but if there's some interest maybe we could do a bar or something. Who knows.

I happen to be visiting Phoenix this weekend, and always like checking out the barbershop/hot towel shaves available in the area. Do any of you Phoenix folk have any suggestions on places to go/stay away from?

I'd love to be able to meet up with you guys and get my honing skills honed. I'm out in Queen Creek and would have yo sweet talk the wife or get a babysitter, but it sounds great.

I'd be interested in meeting up with Arizona SRP folks. I'm in Tucson and I have a razor I just cannot seem to get honed properly. Maybe I need some honing mentoring

Ok, it looks like there are a few of us who are into this.

Now we just need a time and a place. I'm thinking that a sunday afternoon might be the most convenient time for most people.

My only time limitation is that I'll be unavailable from Feb. 18th to Mar. 6th. Any sunday before or after that I'm free.

As for a place, I spoke with jpwatts (local member), and he has offered a meeting room in the east valley. This would work great for talking razors and honing. If anybody has a garage or workshop though, we can get into sanding and stuff. I'd be happy to show some scale making and pinning stuff.
If you can host, please post here and we can work it out.

If we get this together, I may have a few things to PIF to somebody new to the sport.

I have a couple of co-workers who are interested in coming as well.

I'm interested. It may be an issue for me to get there though. I don't drive and my fiance (cough, driver, cough, cough) usually works on the weekends. If there's anyone that is interested in carpooling from Peoria or nearby let me know.

I"m in chandler and I'm definatly down to meet up. I am a complete noob at this though.
