Thread: Mini-meet in Oslo

Str8fencer and I have been talking about meeting up for an evening of honing and razor talk in Oslo, at my place.

We seem to have found this coming Thursday as a suitable day for this.
I know this is kinda short notice, but I figured better late than never

Now, as the saying goes, the more the merrier, so if anyone around these parts would like to join us, please just PM me and we can take it from there!

Okey, so the mini-meet has just ended.

First off let me say thanks to Blix and str8fencer.
I had a wonderful time with you guys, and appreciated the sharing of experiences and knowledge!

We did get a little honing done, no time to shave test, but I bet that will be done shortly

A big Thank you to Birnando for hosting this event! It was great to meet both Birnando and Blix, the friendliest people you could hope to meet, and of course we got to play with wonderful razors and hones. I think it is safe to say it was a huge success. One of my freshly honed razors is already shave tested and posted in the SOTD thread, suffice to say it was no let-down

Thanks again guys, hope we get to do it again soon.

You bet, it was really great. I just had my first shave with an Escher edge, Birnardo did one of my razors. Just awesome. Totally smooth BBS neck without even a hint of burn, that's something I kinda thought wasn't possible
While I'm a noob and the shave was quite spotty overall, I can see what's coming when I get better after a few months!
