Hi there Diabolics - I am newly diagnosed (Sept 10, 2010) with type II. I feel like I have been having problems with Diabetes for the last few years at least. I take 1000mg Metformin in AM and then again in PM plus 5mg Glyburide in the PM. I have to be careful with the Glyburide because if I don't have a small snack (i slice of wheat toast with peanut butter) just before bed I wake up at 3:00 AM with a low between 40 and 55. When i was first Dx'ed my A1c was 12.3 and I am happy to report that my latest score was 5.5. I am mostly a lurker her at SRP and am just starting to mess around with straights. I think the diabetic shave group here is pretty cool. I am also a member of at diabeticconnect.com. Lots of good information and people over there. Bill
