I'm glad you guys decided to include me in your group. Thanks. Thus far, I have been very lucky....no problems. The insulin pump has greatly improved my day to day quality of life. Less lows and less highs.

Now we are three! I hope soon to be four. Then five. Then world domination. Mwa ha ha
Very briefly, I have had Type I for 36 years & use an insulin pump. Like most who use one it has improved my control a huge amount. It is still a long way from perfect. My Good Lady still has to stick me with the glucagon far too often. Just don't ask me about cats in the apartment. I swore there is one when I had a major hypo recently. I maintain it was a ghost whom I was able to perceive in my addled state. Silver just laughed like a drain

I've been diabetic for 35 years, since the age of 10. I am also on the pump, an Accucheck Spirit (manufactured by Disetronic). I lost the eye to it in 1992 and have acquired the nick of Capn Freebird thanks to Spike's little girl. I have neuropathy and carpal tunnel in both hands, and neuropathy in my legs.

My mother in-law is diabetic type II and is immune to her own insulin; she must use synthetic insulin and is on a hard diet control; she has also a heart failure condition that does not really help... It is strange to see how many people are diabetic and that informations and awareness is not very known nor spread.

I've been Spike's carer for just under 2 years. I'm the one who annoys him nagging "Have you done a test lately?" I'm also the one who makes sure he's stocked up with Lucozade before he leaves the house and stabs him with Glucagon injections when he's having a major hypo, which is usually overnight. Good job I had insomnia before we met! LOL

hello everyone, my dad is type II, he just switched to insulin a couple weeks ago to lower the medications he's taking and help his kidneys (he's also taking heart pills).
still has trouble adjusting to it. we gone on a fishing trip last week and had to remember him to take the night shot.

I have maintained a good body weight and try to have good diet but am still prone to hypo if i dont eat right so it's probably in my futur if i dont take care.
